Authorities in Dubai have officially opened applications for the Hamdan bin Mohammed Scholarship Programme for the 2026–27 academic year, aiming to support outstanding Emirati students in pursuing higher education at top global universities. The initiative, led by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), is part of Dubai’s broader strategy to build a knowledge-based economy and nurture future leaders.
The scholarship programme, launched under the vision of Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is designed to fund academically exceptional students from both public and private schools. Each year, a select group of high-achieving students is chosen to pursue undergraduate degrees in high-demand fields at prestigious international institutions.
Eligible applicants must be UAE nationals from Dubai, typically aged between 17 and 20, and recent high school graduates with strong academic records. The programme offers extensive benefits, including full tuition coverage, monthly stipends, travel allowances, and leadership development opportunities, making it one of the most competitive scholarships in the region.
Applications are submitted through the “Dubai Now” platform within a specified timeframe, with candidates required to secure admission to approved universities and meet strict academic criteria. Officials say the initiative reflects Dubai’s long-term commitment to investing in human capital and empowering the next generation with global education and skills.
