ENOC Commemorates Earth Day 2026 With Key Energy Accomplishments

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Today, ENOC Group, a prominent player in the global energy sector, commemorated Earth Day 2026 by highlighting over ten years of advancements in energy efficiency across its operations. This year’s theme for Earth Day is “Our Power, Our Planet.”

For ENOC, energy efficiency is integral to its mission and daily practices. The organization continually incorporates energy-saving measures into its facilities, business strategies, and systems management.

In observance of this event, ENOC held focused toolbox discussions on energy efficiency at its operational sites, engaging frontline staff in the practical application of its Energy and Resource Management (E&RM) strategies.

Hussain Sultan Lootah, CEO of ENOC Group, highlighted Earth Day as a pivotal reminder of the collective duty to enhance energy efficiency. He expressed the company's dedication to integrating sustainability within its framework, influenced by Dubai’s Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the UAE's Net Zero by 2050 objectives.

The implementation of ENOC’s Energy and Resource Management (E&RM) approach has resulted in substantial declines in energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions across its operations, including refineries, terminals, and retail outlets. This initiative has also brought about AED 478 million in cumulative cost savings, demonstrating the synergy between sustainability and operational efficiency.

Moving forward, ENOC Group is enhancing its climate-related reporting and governance in adherence to IFRS S1 and S2 standards. This effort aims to maintain transparency, measurability, and practicality in its sustainability performance for all stakeholders.
