Enhancing UAE-Hungary Relations Through FNC's Official Visit

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

During an official visit to Hungary, Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence Affairs, Interior, and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federal National Council (FNC), met with Illés Boglárka, State Secretary for Bilateral Relations at Hungary’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, at the ministry's headquarters in Budapest.

Dr. Al Nuaimi spoke about the enduring friendship between the UAE and Hungary, highlighting that the visit, led by FNC Speaker Saqr Ghobash, is crucial for fostering parliamentary relations and reinforcing collaborative efforts.

A significant outcome of this visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the FNC and Hungary’s National Assembly to enhance cooperation and understanding. A joint statement was issued, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral ties and the necessity of constructive dialogue to promote peace, stability, and sustainable development.

Dr. Al Nuaimi elaborated on the UAE’s commitment to fostering tolerance and coexistence, referencing the Abraham Accords' positive impact on regional peace and the UAE’s humanitarian outreach. He articulated the UAE’s significant role in advancing security and peace at both regional and global levels.

Illés Boglárka acknowledged the enduring friendship and collaboration between both countries, reaffirming Hungary's eagerness to expand ties across various sectors. She noted that visits like these and the signing of bilateral agreements are essential to achieving broader mutual objectives.

The leaders concurred on the vital role of parliamentary dialogue in enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation. By undertaking joint initiatives, consultations, and regular exchanges, the UAE and Hungary can navigate shared interests while promoting global peace and stability.

The FNC delegation’s mission is anticipated to pave the way for new joint ventures and collaborations. Both parties acknowledged that continual communication, cooperation, and shared aspirations will reinforce the partnership between the two nations. The UAE’s dedication to humanitarian efforts, tolerance, and peace resonates with Hungary’s ambitions for broader international cooperation aimed at sustainable development.
