French biochemist Jessie Inchauspe, widely referred to as the “Glucose Goddess”, has revealed that she considers mulberry leaf extract her top daily supplement. According to her, it may assist in managing blood sugar levels and minimizing glucose spikes following meals.
Inchauspe claims that consuming 250 milligrams of mulberry leaf extract daily for two months can lead to beneficial outcomes. She noted improvements in fasting blood sugar, HbA1c, and reductions in fasting insulin levels, contributing to enhanced long-term blood sugar health.
The biochemist explained that mulberry leaves contain a natural substance called DNJ, which slows carbohydrate breakdown into glucose. This process allows sugar to enter the bloodstream more gradually, preventing sudden spikes in blood sugar levels.
Moreover, Jessie mentioned that the supplement she utilizes is also enriched with lemon extract, which might aid the body in increasing GLP-1 hormone production. This hormone plays a critical role in appetite control and blood sugar management.
However, she stressed that this supplement should not be seen as a substitute for nutritious eating habits. She describes it as “additional support”, particularly on busy days when adhering to strict meal plans may be challenging.
Importantly, she warned that mulberry leaf extract is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, as there is insufficient research on its safety for these groups.
Health specialists acknowledge that while such supplements can be beneficial, they are not replacements for medical treatments and should always be used under a physician’s guidance. Further scientific investigations are essential to fully validate these claims.
This information comes from Jessie’s social media updates. The assertions have not been independently confirmed by health professionals.
