Harleen Kaur Deol Asks PM Modi About His 'Glow'; PM Points to Discipline and Blessings

Post by : Saif Al-Najjar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted the Indian women’s cricket team at his residence on November 5 to mark their ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 triumph. The meeting was warm and celebratory. During the interaction, batter Harleen Kaur Deol posed a playful question about the prime minister’s skincare, prompting smiles and laughter across the room.

Mr Modi replied that he does not use any special cosmetic products. He noted his 25 years in public life and said the radiance on his face comes from the goodwill and blessings of the people. His straightforward, modest answer elicited an easy, relatable moment.

The exchange echoed a similar light-hearted query from 2020, when someone asked how he kept a fresh, glowing appearance. On that occasion he quipped that long hours of work and sweating act like a natural massage.

Beyond the humour, Mr Modi follows a tightly disciplined lifestyle. He is known to rise early, practise yoga and meditate regularly. His eating habits are simple — he avoids heavy, oily foods and opts for cleaner meals.

Fasting forms a notable part of his routine. He has said that it sharpens his focus and energy rather than weakening him. During Chaturmas he typically takes one meal a day, and in Shardiya Navratri he has observed periods of drinking only hot water, a practice he has maintained for decades.

At 74, Mr Modi continues to keep long working hours and frequent travel commitments. Observers point to his daily habits, restraint and mental balance as factors contributing to his sustained stamina.

The reception for the victorious players served not just as a celebration but also as a reminder of discipline and dedication behind success. The team members appeared proud and appreciated by the prime minister.

While the brief skincare exchange quickly caught online attention, it underlined a broader message: good health and a radiant appearance can stem from disciplined living rather than cosmetic products.
