Military Blood Donation Aids Local Patient

Post by : Shakul

Personnel from the 31st Infantry Regiment of the Royal Thai Army launched a compassionate blood donation initiative to aid a chronically ill patient in Lopburi. A dedicated group of 20 volunteers participated in the event to bolster the patient’s ongoing medical care.

This initiative was specifically arranged to support Mrs. Rapeeporn Jai-aree, who frequently requires blood transfusions due to her medical condition. Currently, she is undergoing treatment at Ananthamahidol Hospital in Khao Sam Yod Subdistrict of Mueang District, Lopburi.

The campaign culminated in an impressive collection of 9,000 cc of blood. Hospital staff expressed their gratitude, affirming that this blood will significantly contribute to her treatment and enable medical teams to deliver continued healthcare.

This blood initiative underscores the military's dual role in safeguarding the nation while also engaging in charitable community efforts. Thai armed forces frequently take part in social welfare projects, emergency responses, and health awareness campaigns throughout the region.

Officials from the 31st Infantry Regiment noted that the soldiers were eager to volunteer upon hearing about the urgent blood needs of Mrs. Jai-aree. This act illustrates the compassionate spirit and public service ethos fostered within the military ranks.

Healthcare professionals highlighted the essential need for regular blood donations, particularly for patients with chronic conditions requiring multiple transfusions as part of their treatment. Such campaigns play a crucial role in ensuring hospitals maintain adequate blood reserves for both routine and emergency situations.

Residents of Lopburi expressed their admiration for the military personnel’s benevolence, viewing this endeavor as a prime example of collective responsibility and teamwork dedicated to saving lives.

Health officials are continuing their efforts to motivate the public to engage in regular blood donation campaigns, underscoring the vital need for blood in surgeries, emergencies, and critical care for seriously ill patients. Volunteer blood donors are essential to meet the rising healthcare needs.

This humanitarian act by the military personnel exemplifies how a simple gesture of blood donation can profoundly impact an individual’s life. There is hope that this campaign will encourage more community members to participate in future blood donation initiatives.
