Korean President Lee Jae-myung Begins Official Visit to UAE

His Excellency Lee Jae-myung, the President of the Republic of Korea, has officially landed in the United Arab Emirates for a state visit today. This journey marks a significant milestone in fortifying the relationship between the UAE and Korea across various domains including trade, technology, culture, and diplomacy.

As President Lee’s aircraft entered the airspace of the UAE, it received a formal military escort. A squadron of UAE jets accompanied the aircraft to the Presidential Flight in Abu Dhabi. The squadron leader sought President Lee Jae-myung’s consent for the escort, symbolizing respect and hospitality. This impressive aerial salute underscores the strong ties and collaborative spirit shared between the two nations.

Upon his arrival at the Presidential Flight, President Lee was cordially greeted by several senior UAE officials. Leading the welcoming team was Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, alongside Dr. Maitha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State, and Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State. Abdullah Saif Al Nuaimi, the UAE Ambassador to Korea, was also present along with other officials.

The reception adhered to formal protocols, highlighting the significance of this state visit. President Lee Jae-myung aims to enhance bilateral relations, uncover economic collaboration opportunities, and foster cultural exchanges. Both countries are recognized for their swift economic progress and technological advancements, making such visits pivotal for deepening collaboration.

During his time in the UAE, President Lee will participate in several meetings with prominent UAE leaders. These discussions will likely center on promoting trade and investment, expanding technological partnerships, and bolstering cultural and educational cooperation.
