Mandhana Guides India to Maiden Women's World Cup Victory

Post by : Meena Hassan

Smriti Mandhana was central to India’s landmark win at the 2025 Women’s World Cup, finishing as India’s top run-scorer and second overall in the tournament. Her steady performances at the top of the order helped India overcome South Africa in the final to secure their maiden ODI World Cup title. The team’s triumph came with financial rewards, including a prize pool of INR 40 crore and a BCCI bonus of Rs 51 crore shared among the squad.

Mandhana’s income streams are diverse. Her international match fees stand at Rs 15 lakh for Tests, Rs 6 lakh for ODIs and Rs 3 lakh for T20Is. She is on a Grade A BCCI central contract with an annual retainer of Rs 50 lakh. In the Women’s Premier League, Royal Challengers Bengaluru purchased her for INR 3.4 crore, placing her among the top-paid women cricketers globally.

She holds endorsement deals with brands including Hyundai, Hero Motocorp, Red Bull, Nike, Garnier, Mastercard and Unicef India, reportedly earning between Rs 75 lakh and 1.5 crore per contract. Mandhana lives in Sangli, Maharashtra, and owns properties in Mumbai and Delhi; she also operates the SM-18 Sports Cafe locally.

Known for a fondness for cars over flashy luxuries, she drives a Range Rover Evoque valued at around Rs 70 lakh and has gifted vehicles to family members. After the World Cup success, her net worth is estimated at INR 34 crore, underscoring her position among the most prominent and financially successful women in international cricket.
