Many individuals experience frustration while attempting to shed belly fat. Despite efforts such as exercising, eating healthily, or trying various diets, stubborn stomach fat often persists, making weight loss challenging and stressful. However, Dipika Rampal, a health coach from Noida, asserts that the body can efficiently burn fat when given the right support. In a recent post, she elaborated on straightforward habits that can transform the body into a natural “fat-burning machine.”
Dipika explains that when someone struggles to lose belly fat, it indicates that their body is in “fat storage mode.” In this state, individuals frequently feel hungry, experience cravings for snacks, and often feel fatigued. Counting calories may prove ineffective as the body retains stored fat rather than burning it. She compares stored fat to fuel reserves, stressing that the body requires appropriate signals to begin utilizing this stored energy.
Dipika highlights the significance of two key hormones during this process. The first hormone is produced in the gut and plays a role in reducing hunger and cravings. This hormone is released after consuming meals rich in fiber, healthy fats, and protein. These nutrients help prolong feelings of fullness and sustain energy levels throughout the day.
The second crucial hormone is insulin, which increases with every meal. Frequent eating keeps insulin levels elevated, preventing the body from burning fat. Conversely, reduced insulin levels signal the body to utilize stored fat as energy, initiating the natural fat-burning process.
To facilitate this process, Dipika has adopted a specific routine. She skips breakfast and engages in exercise while in a fasted state, which means she workouts in the morning without prior food intake. This approach helps maintain low insulin levels, allowing continued fat-burning. Following her workout, she breaks her fast around noon, consuming a meal that incorporates fiber, fats, and protein, then waits 4–6 hours before her next meal. This interval allows insulin levels to decrease and fat burning to continue.
According to Dipika, sticking to this routine for 90 days can result in noticeable changes. This method emphasizes real food, attuning to one’s body, and providing hormones with the time they need to function naturally, all without reliance on costly supplements or strict dieting.
However, it’s crucial to recognize that every individual's body reacts differently. Those with medical conditions, children, pregnant women, or individuals with extremely low energy levels should consult a healthcare professional before altering their diet or initiating fasting. Additionally, methods that work for one person might require adjustments for another.
The overarching message from the health coach is clear: consume foods that nurture the body, limit frequent eating, and allow insulin levels to decrease. With dedication, individuals can train their bodies to efficiently utilize stored fat for energy.
