A falcon was sold for SAR119,000 during the latest session of the Saudi Falcons Club Auction 2025, held in Malham, north of Riyadh. The auction, which coincides with the annual hunting season running from October 1 to November 30, continues to attract widespread attention from falconers and enthusiasts across the Kingdom and beyond.
The Saudi Falcons Club Auction has become one of the most important events in the falconry calendar, serving as a platform for buying and selling high-quality falcons and promoting the Kingdom’s deep-rooted cultural heritage. The event not only celebrates the art of falconry, a practice cherished for generations, but also contributes to strengthening Saudi Arabia’s cultural identity and supporting the economy.
Every year, hundreds of falcons are showcased by breeders, hunters, and traders. The auction provides opportunities for experts and newcomers alike to exchange knowledge and expertise in falcon training, breeding, and care. The participation of professional falconers helps ensure the preservation of traditional practices while encouraging innovation in the field.
The Saudi Falcons Club, which organizes the auction, plays a key role in preserving and promoting falconry as a symbol of Saudi culture. Through such events, the club aims to pass down the skills and values associated with falconry to younger generations, ensuring that this important aspect of national heritage continues to thrive.
In addition to being a cultural event, the auction has also become an economic driver. High-value sales, such as the SAR119,000 falcon, highlight the strong market demand for elite birds and the growing recognition of Saudi Arabia as a regional hub for falconry.
Beyond the auction, the Saudi Falcons Club organizes several related initiatives, including training programs, exhibitions, and awareness campaigns that educate the public about falcon conservation and sustainable hunting practices.
The 2025 edition of the auction continues to attract both local and international participation, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s position as a global center for falconry heritage and trade.
