Sharjah Accelerates AI Integration in Government Services

Post by : Bianca Haleem

His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, has mandated a swift integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in governmental processes.

This initiative seeks to boost governmental efficiency, raise the caliber of public services, and foster an AI-enhanced governance model in Sharjah.

The order underscores Sharjah's pledge to a people-focused digital transformation strategy. It aims to incorporate cutting-edge technologies for improved governmental efficacy, quality service delivery, workforce development, and sustain the emirate's technological autonomy.

His Highness has tasked the Sharjah Digital Department with spearheading the Sharjah AI Assistant Programme in collaboration with various governmental bodies throughout the emirate.

This initiative will aid in establishing essential systems and tools, prioritizing key areas, and assisting governmental sectors in rapidly incorporating AI assistants into their everyday operations.

Additionally, he has emphasized the need for stronger partnerships with private sector players, educational institutions, and community stakeholders. Such cooperation is anticipated to foster innovation, ensure continued sustainability, build national competencies, and leverage specialized skills.

Through this program, Sharjah aims to hasten its digital transformation efforts, establishing a more efficient, intelligent, and future-ready governance framework.
