Strengthening UAE-US Relations: Sheikh Abdullah and Secretary Rubio Connect

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the UAE, engaged in a phone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to explore avenues for enhancing strategic ties. The dialogue aimed at fostering cooperation across various sectors to benefit both nations. The leaders highlighted the necessity of sustaining a robust partnership that serves the citizens of both the UAE and the United States.

In their discussion, Sheikh Abdullah and Secretary Rubio evaluated opportunities to widen bilateral collaborations in economic, commercial, and scientific domains. The conversation also addressed the increasing significance of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies that align with national development goals. Both parties agreed on the continued importance of collaboration to promote sustainable growth and advancement in their countries.

The dire situation in Sudan emerged as a significant topic, with Sheikh Abdullah underscoring the need to act upon the Quad statement released last September by the UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United States, aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict and achieving peace.

Additionally, the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip was a key point of concern. Both leaders conveyed their worries regarding the humanitarian toll of regional disturbances and considered strategies to address the crisis. Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the importance of coordinated relief efforts to assist affected communities while preserving regional stability.

Sheikh Abdullah expressed gratitude for the United States’ ongoing commitment to fostering security and stability in the Middle East. He acknowledged US-led initiatives directed at promoting sustainable peace and enhancing prosperity in the region.
