H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has arrived in Johannesburg, South Africa, to participate in the 2025 G20 Summit. He is taking part in this gathering on behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This year, the invitation for the UAE to join the G20 Summit came from Cyril Ramaphosa, the President of South Africa. This invite signifies the robust relationship between the UAE and South Africa, along with the global community’s acknowledgment of the UAE's proactive engagement in pressing international matters. The G20 Summit convenes the world's leading economies to address economic, social, and environmental challenges impacting populations worldwide.
Accompanying Sheikh Khaled is a prominent UAE delegation, which features several key ministers and senior officials. This includes Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment. The team also comprises Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. Additionally, Maryam Eid AlMheiri, Chairperson of Abu Dhabi Media Office, is part of the delegation.
