His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee, attended the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) – Dubai Campuses graduation ceremony for the Class of 2025. The event celebrated 602 graduates under the theme “HCTians Go Beyond.” His Highness honoured 62 top-performing students who achieved Distinction or Distinction with Honours, commending their efforts and dedication.
Sheikh Mansoor highlighted that nurturing and empowering young Emiratis is a key national priority that strengthens the UAE’s foundation for sustainable development. He praised the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, whose belief in human potential continues to turn challenges into opportunities. Sheikh Mansoor affirmed that investing in youth remains the cornerstone of the UAE’s progress and innovation.
Expressing pride in the new graduates, Sheikh Mansoor said that HCT plays a vital role in developing the next generation of innovators and leaders. The institution’s focus on applied learning and future skills equips students to contribute effectively to the country’s growth. He joined the graduates for a commemorative group photo, marking a memorable conclusion to the ceremony held at the Grand Hyatt Dubai.
The event was attended by Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports and Chancellor of HCT; Dr. Faisal Alayyan, HCT President and CEO; Dr. Yahya Al Ansaari, Executive Director of HCT-Dubai Campuses; and other dignitaries, faculty, and families. Dr. Al Falasi expressed deep appreciation for Sheikh Mansoor’s presence, saying it reflects the leadership’s dedication to education and its encouragement for young people to contribute to national development.
Dr. Al Falasi congratulated the top-performing students and said their achievements reflect exceptional talent, creativity, and perseverance. He emphasised that their success mirrors the UAE’s continued investment in human capital. “Empowering youth with future-ready skills and applied knowledge ensures competitiveness and supports the nation’s innovation-driven economy,” he stated.
Dr. Al Falasi highlighted HCT’s mission to align academic programmes with national goals and workforce needs. He said HCT remains committed to preparing future-ready graduates who embody the ambition and spirit of Emirati youth. “Our graduates are future leaders who will transform knowledge into achievement and ambition into reality,” he affirmed.
The Chancellor added that HCT continues to enhance partnerships with government and private sectors to meet evolving job market requirements. The theme “HCTians Go Beyond” reflects the UAE’s national values of determination and resilience, ensuring that every student contributes to building a better, knowledge-based future.
Dr. Faisal Alayyan, President and CEO of HCT, also addressed the gathering. He expressed gratitude to the UAE’s leadership, led by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for their continuous support of education. He said this vision has made Dubai a global hub of innovation, entrepreneurship, and opportunity.
Dr. Alayyan encouraged graduates to follow the UAE’s leadership values by believing in themselves, embracing challenges, and pursuing excellence. He said the HCT aims to be a leader in applied sciences and an example of Emirati excellence, producing graduates who can contribute to every sector of the nation’s development.
Announcing the graduation of 602 students, Dr. Alayyan said they completed their studies across Engineering, Health Sciences, Business, Computer Information Science, Applied Media, and Education. He congratulated them for their hard work and excellence. Graduate representative Saeed Abdullah Al Saadi expressed gratitude to the UAE’s leaders, HCT faculty, and families for their guidance and support throughout the academic journey.
