President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a federal decree appointing Mohamed Ebrahim Hassan Al Mansoori as the new Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, responsible for Infrastructure and Transportation Affairs.

The appointment reflects the UAE leadership’s commitment to promoting experienced professionals into strategic government roles, ensuring continued development across vital infrastructure and transportation sectors.

A Distinguished Career in Public Service

Before his appointment, Mohamed Al Mansoori served as the Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, where he played a key role in improving housing initiatives that benefit Emirati citizens. His leadership helped deliver several national housing projects that aligned with the UAE’s vision for sustainable and inclusive development.

Al Mansoori also held several senior positions at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, showcasing his long-standing experience and expertise in public infrastructure management.

Key Roles in the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure

During his career at the Ministry, Al Mansoori served as the Executive Director of Engineering Affairs and Acting Deputy Undersecretary for Works Affairs. In these roles, he contributed to planning, developing, and supervising major national infrastructure projects, including roads, public buildings, and transportation systems.

He also served as Vice President of the Permanent Committee for Project Management, a body responsible for setting standards, monitoring progress, and ensuring project quality across the country.

Leadership in National Committees and Projects

Mohamed Al Mansoori’s contributions extend beyond administrative duties. He chaired several high-level committees and projects, including the housing programme under the Emirates Infrastructure and Housing Council. Under his leadership, many housing and engineering projects were implemented efficiently, benefiting communities across various Emirates.

His hands-on involvement in planning and executing major construction projects strengthened the UAE’s infrastructure network and ensured that development remained sustainable and community-focused.

Supporting the UAE’s Development Vision

Al Mansoori’s appointment comes at a time when the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure continues to focus on advancing the UAE’s Vision 2031 goals. These include building a sustainable infrastructure system, improving transportation efficiency, and supporting innovation in engineering and construction.

As Undersecretary for Infrastructure and Transportation Affairs, he will play a critical role in overseeing new development projects, coordinating with government and private sector entities, and ensuring that the UAE remains a global leader in infrastructure innovation and sustainability.

Recognising Experience and Leadership

The new appointment reflects the confidence of the UAE leadership in Mohamed Al Mansoori’s extensive experience, strategic insight, and proven track record. His ability to lead complex engineering initiatives and manage national housing and infrastructure projects positions him well for this important responsibility.

Colleagues describe Al Mansoori as a visionary leader who combines technical expertise with a deep commitment to public service. His leadership style emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and accountability — qualities that align with the UAE government’s modern governance model.

Strengthening Infrastructure and Transportation

Under his new role, Al Mansoori is expected to focus on improving the country’s transportation networks, enhancing infrastructure sustainability, and promoting smart solutions that support the UAE’s green growth agenda. His efforts will help advance infrastructure excellence, attract investment, and improve quality of life for residents.
