Dr. Marwan Obaid Al Muhairi, Vice Chairman of the Federal National Council’s (FNC) Parliamentary Friendship Committee with European Parliaments, held a meeting today at the FNC headquarters in Abu Dhabi with Raff Ciccone, the Chair of the Australia–UAE Parliamentary Friendship Committee from the Australian Senate. Ridwan Jadwat, Ambassador of the Commonwealth of Australia to the UAE, also attended.
The agenda centered on bolstering cooperation between the FNC and the Australian Senate and House of Representatives. Both parties highlighted the significance of parliamentary diplomacy in supporting national agendas and aligning on various mutual interests. Strengthening communication and collaborative avenues emerged as a key focus for future interactions.
Dr. Al Muhairi and Senator Ciccone concurred on revitalizing the Parliamentary Friendship Group linking the UAE and Australia. This initiative includes the arrangement of visit exchanges, sharing parliamentary knowledge, and facilitating collaborative projects aimed at fostering bilateral development. Such partnerships are expected to enhance understanding of legislative practices while addressing shared challenges.
