Texas, US – November 10, 2025: A heartbreaking event has shaken the community of Andhra Pradesh as 23-year-old Rajyalakshmi “Raji” Yarlagadda was found deceased in her Texas apartment. A graduate of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, she had recently been exploring job opportunities in the United States when her life ended unexpectedly on November 7.

As shared by her cousin, Chaitanya YVK, Rajyalakshmi was suffering from a severe cough and chest pain for a couple of days leading up to her passing. "Sadly, on the morning of Nov 7, 2025, she didn’t wake up after her alarm rang, causing immense sorrow among her family and friends," he stated. Friends later discovered her unresponsive.

Authorities in the US are conducting a comprehensive investigation to ascertain the cause of her untimely death. The sudden tragedy has left her family in Andhra Pradesh and friends in the US grappling with profound grief.

The fundraiser aims to assist with funeral arrangements, the return of Yarlagadda’s remains to India, the settling of her educational loans, and providing support for her parents who are farmers in Karmechedu village, Bapatla district.

"Raji came to the US to fulfill her aspirations of improving her family's future through education and diligence," the campaign states. "Her unexpected passing has not only shattered her family but has also placed them in a financial predicament."

The loss of Yarlagadda is deeply felt among her friends, peers, and supporters, who remember her for her dedication to her studies and her desire to uplift her family.
