Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov led a delegation at the Fifth Antalya Diplomatic Forum, convened in Antalya, Turkey. This pivotal gathering brought together notable global leaders and policymakers focused on critical international matters.

Under the theme “Planning for the Future, Managing Uncertainty,” the forum included discussions about sustainable development, regional security, and strategies for global cooperation. Attendees shared insights on navigating the ongoing geopolitical and economic challenges.

In his remarks, Meredov underscored Turkmenistan’s dedication to fostering regional stability and cooperation among Central Asian nations. He pointed out the necessity of enhancing cross-border infrastructure and expanding international ties.

Energy security emerged as a central topic, with Turkmenistan showcasing initiatives to diversify its energy supply routes, notably the TAPI gas pipeline, which is aimed at enhancing regional connectivity and energy collaboration.

Meredov also highlighted the significance of developing transport and logistics, stating that Central Asia serves as a vital link between Asia and Europe. Strengthening these trade corridors is crucial for boosting economic integration.

Additionally, discussions touched on Turkmenistan’s engagements with the United Nations, especially its advocacy for energy sustainability. The nation has backed various UN resolutions designed to promote global energy security.
