UAE Allocates AED 1.54 Billion for Housing Assistance in Abu Dhabi

Following directives from President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi's Ruler Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has sanctioned a significant AED 1.54 billion housing assistance initiative for local citizens.

This initiative is set to aid 1,074 Emirati beneficiaries throughout the emirate.

The aid package features AED 1.41 billion in housing loans for 929 citizens, along with AED 123 million in exemptions for 145 senior citizens, low-income retirees, and families of deceased citizens.

Launched just before Eid Al Adha, this measure underscores the leadership's dedication to enhancing family welfare, social support, and suitable housing options for residents.

His Excellency Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority Board, expressed that this initiative is indicative of commitment to prioritizing citizens' needs, enhancing social stability, and ensuring dignified living for Emirati families.

In addition, His Excellency Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, noted the program's role in fostering family well-being and contributing to broader UAE development objectives. He assured that efforts to enhance housing services will persist for improved access and efficiency for citizens.

As of this recent approval, housing assistance disbursed in Abu Dhabi during 2026 totals AED 5.76 billion. Overall, since the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority's inception, more than 133,000 housing supports have been issued, surpassing AED 182 billion in total value.

This funding initiative demonstrates the unwavering commitment of UAE leadership to ensure stable housing and elevate living standards for Abu Dhabi residents.
