UAE Envoy Salem Al Owais Presents Credentials to Belize

Salem Al Owais, the UAE's Ambassador to the United Mexican States, officially delivered a copy of his credentials as the UAE's Ambassador Extraordinary and Non-Resident Plenipotentiary to Belize. The ceremony was conducted alongside Belize's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Culture, and Immigration, Francis Fonseca. This event underscores the UAE's diplomatic initiatives aimed at fortifying partnerships throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

During their discussions, Ambassador Al Owais conveyed heartfelt greetings from H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, to Minister Fonseca. He extended wishes for ongoing progress and prosperity for Belize's government and its people. The Ambassador highlighted that this new role signifies the UAE's commitment to deepening engagement and cooperation with Belize in several areas of mutual interest.

Expressing pride in his representation of the UAE, Al Owais stated his intention to foster cooperation in trade, investment, culture, and education. He reaffirmed his commitment to nurturing bilateral relations and friendship between the nations, emphasizing the importance of discovering new collaborative opportunities that would benefit both sides.

Minister Fonseca graciously welcomed Ambassador Al Owais, extending greetings to H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and expressing appreciation for the UAE's growing influence in international cooperation. He also wished continued development for the UAE's leadership, government, and people, recognizing their contributions to global diplomacy, sustainable development, and humanitarian aid.

Fonseca assured Ambassador Al Owais of Belize's full support in executing his diplomatic duties. He noted that the Belizean government stands ready to assist in strengthening relations and promoting initiatives that benefit both countries. Fonseca expressed optimism that this new chapter of collaboration would bolster ties in areas like renewable energy, tourism, cultural exchange, and trade.

Key cooperative areas were discussed during the meeting, with both parties reviewing existing partnerships and future development opportunities in economic, environmental, and technological realms.
