UAE And Iraq Leaders Strengthen Ties For Peace And Growth

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mohammed Shia Al Sudani, at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi. The Iraqi leader was on a working visit to the UAE, and the meeting reflected the close and brotherly relationship between the two nations.

Focus On Fraternal Relations

During the discussions, both leaders stressed the strong fraternal ties between the UAE and Iraq. They expressed their shared desire to continue building cooperation and to support joint efforts that serve the needs of both countries. They highlighted the importance of these relations in promoting development, stability, and prosperity for their peoples.

Boosting Development And Economy

The talks placed special attention on cooperation in economic and development fields. Both sides agreed to explore more opportunities that match the priorities of their countries. The aim is to support mutual interests, encourage joint projects, and achieve real benefits for citizens in both Iraq and the UAE.

Shared Views On Peace

The meeting also covered key regional and international issues. The two leaders exchanged views on the latest developments in the Middle East. They underlined the need to find a clear and lasting path to peace, one that could bring security and stability to the people of the region. They both agreed that diplomacy and dialogue are the best ways forward.

Support For Palestine

Sheikh Mohamed and Prime Minister Al Sudani also emphasized the importance of international recognition of the Palestinian State. They explained that this recognition is a vital step in helping the Palestinian people achieve their aspirations for freedom, stability, and development. Both sides saw this as a key part of building lasting peace in the region.

Strengthening Arab Unity

Another key point in the talks was the importance of joint Arab action. The leaders stressed that Arab countries must work together more closely, especially during times of challenges. They agreed that stronger coordination would help consolidate regional stability, improve security, and ensure a united response to common issues.

Presence Of Senior Officials

The meeting was attended by senior UAE officials, including His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, His Excellency Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, and His Excellency Abdullah Matar Al Mazrouei, the UAE Ambassador to Iraq.

Warm Reception For Iraqi PM

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Al Sudani arrived in the UAE and was received at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi. He was welcomed by His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, along with several ministers and senior officials. The warm reception reflected the depth of ties between the two countries.

The visit highlighted the determination of both the UAE and Iraq to keep strengthening their ties. From economic cooperation to regional peace, both countries aim to work together in ways that bring stability and growth not only for their people but also for the wider Arab region.
