UAE and Montenegro Forge Defence Alliances at Dubai Airshow

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, had an important meeting today with Dragan Krapović, the Minister of Defence of Montenegro. This significant discussion occurred during the Dubai Airshow 2025, a leading global event in aviation, aerospace, and defence.

Sheikh Hamdan warmly welcomed his Montenegrin counterpart and emphasized the UAE's growing friendship with Montenegro. He reiterated the UAE leadership's dedication to enhancing relations with Balkan nations, highlighting the fundamental trust, respect, and shared aspirations shared by both countries.

In their conversation, Sheikh Hamdan underlined the potential for enhanced cooperation. He pointed out that expertise exchange in vital sectors like economics, culture, and defence can pave the way for mutual development and growth.

The Crown Prince also reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to fostering global peace, which he described as essential for sustainable development. He stressed that dialogue and understanding are crucial for resolving conflicts and stated the UAE’s unwavering support for initiatives that enhance regional and global stability.

In response, Dragan Krapović lauded the UAE's proactive role both regionally and internationally. He commended the efforts of the UAE in promoting peace and development initiatives, which positively impact various communities across the globe. He also recognized the significance of the Dubai Airshow in fostering international collaboration.

The Montenegrin Defence Minister acknowledged the global impact of the Dubai Airshow, noting its role in bringing together leaders and innovators to shape the future of defence technologies and aviation.

The dialogue extended to crucial regional and international matters, focusing on the latest Middle East developments and the imperative for lasting peace that enhances development for all nations.

Accompanying the two leaders were Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, and Major General Khalifa Rashid Al Hamli, Director of the Minister of Defence's Office. Their attendance highlighted the UAE's commitment to advancing defence partnerships.

Both sides concluded with a consensus on the need for ongoing collaboration in defence, development, and peace initiatives, underlining a strengthened UAE-Montenegro relationship and future prospects for cooperation.
