UAE Lifts Lebanon Travel Ban for Citizens, Mandatory Registration Required Before Travel

Post by : Raina Al-Fahim

The UAE has officially lifted its travel ban on Lebanon for Emirati citizens, allowing UAE nationals to travel to the country again from June 29, 2026, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).

The decision comes after earlier travel restrictions were introduced due to regional security developments. While travel is now permitted, the ministry has made it clear that registration through the Twajudi service is mandatory before departure.

UAE nationals must register on Twajudi before travelling

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said all UAE citizens planning to visit Lebanon must complete the Twajudi registration before leaving the UAE.

Travellers are required to provide:

  • Their place of residence in Lebanon
  • Emergency contact information
  • Updates upon returning to the UAE
  • Notification of any changes to their travel plans or location

The ministry stressed that completing this registration is essential to ensure citizens can receive assistance quickly if needed during their stay abroad.

Emergency support for UAE citizens

In case of emergencies while in Lebanon, UAE nationals have been instructed to contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through its emergency hotline 80024 for immediate support and timely assistance.

Officials said the Twajudi system helps authorities communicate with citizens and coordinate assistance during emergencies or unexpected situations.

Failure to register may lead to penalties

The Ministry warned that travellers who do not complete the mandatory Twajudi registration before travelling could face:

  • Delays in travel procedures
  • Legal action under applicable regulations

Authorities urged all citizens to comply with the travel requirements before booking or departing for Lebanon.

Previous travel restrictions

In April 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs imposed a travel ban on Iran, Lebanon and Iraq for UAE nationals following regional developments and security concerns.

With the latest announcement, Lebanon has now been removed from that restriction, allowing Emirati citizens to resume travel while following the mandatory registration procedures.
