Lebanon National Day Celebrated in Abu Dhabi with UAE Officials

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

Abu Dhabi hosted a significant gathering to mark Lebanon’s National Day, attended by various leaders, diplomats, and community members. Among the notable attendees was Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, UAE's Minister of Justice, who participated as a distinguished guest. The celebration was organized by Tarek Mneymneh, the Lebanese Ambassador to the UAE, at the embassy.

Numerous prominent figures from diverse backgrounds were present, including high-ranking UAE officials and heads of diplomatic missions from both Arab and non-Arab countries. The presence of the Lebanese expatriate community added depth to the celebration, which served to reinforce cultural and social connections between nations and foster unity among diasporas.

During his speech, Ambassador Tarek Mneymneh expressed gratitude to all attendees and highlighted the robust ties between the UAE and Lebanon. He spoke about the foundation of trust, camaraderie, and mutual respect that sustains their relationship. Over time, collaborations in numerous sectors—social, cultural, economic, and humanitarian—have further solidified these partnerships.

Emphasizing the fraternal bonds underpinning the cooperation, the ambassador noted both nations’ respect for each other's traditions. This collaboration has helped Lebanese citizens in the UAE feel safe, welcomed, and part of the community, thereby deepening their connection to the country.

The Minister of Justice's attendance signified the UAE's commitment to nurturing its relationship with Lebanon, particularly during significant national events. Such occasions underline the UAE's longstanding commitment to embracing the diverse cultures represented within its borders.

The reception similarly offered a platform for diplomats and officials to network, share insights, and discuss future collaborations. These interactions foster goodwill and promote understanding among nations while celebrating cultural identities and encouraging peaceful international relations.

Lebanon’s National Day holds special significance for Lebanese communities globally, and commemorating it in the UAE fostered a sense of collective pride and commemoration. Guests expressed their gratitude to the UAE for its continued support and for providing a hospitable environment for Lebanese expatriates.

The event marked a successful mix of diplomacy and culture, showcasing the friendship between the UAE and Lebanon, rooted in mutual respect, collaboration, and unity. As both nations nurture their partnership, they look forward to an even stronger bond in the future.
