Under the esteemed patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and on behalf of Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the graduation ceremony for the 19th cohort of Emirates National Schools (ENS) Al Ain Campus took place with great grandeur at the United Arab Emirates University.
This significant event marked the graduation of 222 male and female students from the “Year of Family 2026” group. In attendance were Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, along with esteemed officials, proud parents, and influential figures in education.
The ceremony underscored the unwavering commitment of UAE leadership towards advancing education and bolstering national schools. Leaders highlighted the critical need to equip students with contemporary knowledge, future skills, and a focus on innovative education.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan congratulated the graduates and their families during the ceremony, conveying heartfelt regards from Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He expressed hope for the students’ flourishing paths in their forthcoming academic and professional endeavors, emphasizing the key roles of diligence and commitment to national service.
Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Hameeri, Chairman of the ENS Board, commended the continuous patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, stating that this support significantly enhances the quality of education, positioning ENS on both a national and global stage.
He remarked that ENS is dedicated to developing innovative educational initiatives centered around artificial intelligence, digital transformation, sustainability, and clean energy. The curriculum also fosters Emirati identity, cultivates the Arabic language, and encourages innovative thought among students.
Lachlan Mackinnon, Director-General of ENS, shared that the institutions are focused on equipping their students for tomorrow through environments driven by AI, innovation, and technology. He also emphasized the attention given to gifted students through various scholarship opportunities.
Mackinnon disclosed that students brought home 23 distinguished awards in AI, science, innovation, arts, and education, along with 31 accolades in sports and martial arts at both local and international platforms.
Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh was also present, reinforcing the essential connection between education and national progress.
As the ceremony concluded, officials honored graduates and distinguished students, while parents and guests expressed their pride in the young scholars, wishing them a luminous future in service to the UAE.
Founded in 2002, Emirates National Schools continue to be pivotal in shaping skilled, educated, and innovative generations prepared for future challenges.
