This celebration coincided with the 80th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh’s initiative encouraging agricultural cooperatives, which have been instrumental in Vietnam’s socio-economic growth.

VIPs and representatives from various national entities attended the ceremony, underscoring the cooperative sector’s vital role. A total of 100 cooperatives were acknowledged for their innovation and contributions to national progress.

In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister Dung articulated the transformation of cooperatives from small rural entities to essential components of Vietnam's economy, with over 34,880 cooperatives serving nearly 5.7 million members, significantly impacting employment and income.

The Deputy Prime Minister commended the achievements within the collective economic landscape and advocated for cooperatives to drive innovation, embrace digital advancements, and pursue sustainable development strategies. He encouraged the adoption of modern technologies to enhance global competitiveness.

The government emphasized the necessity of establishing green and circular economic practices, boosting product quality, and fostering strong value chain connections between cooperatives and business sectors to bolster market presence.

In future endeavors, authorities reiterated their pledge to support cooperatives through enhanced policies and legal frameworks.
