Yas Waterworld Sets Guinness World Record With 55 Waterslides

Yas Waterworld on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, has officially been awarded the Guinness World Records title for having the most waterslides in a waterpark, with a record-breaking total of 55 waterslides.

The achievement was announced during a special ceremony held at the waterpark, where Dr Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral, and Rayan Al Haddar, General Manager of Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, received the official Guinness World Records certificate. The certificate was presented by Hanane Spiers, Official Guinness World Records Adjudicator for the MENA region and Türkiye.

Expansion Helped Secure the World Record

The new world record follows the recent expansion of Yas Waterworld, which introduced 11 new rides, slides, and attractions. The expansion further develops the park's Lost City theme, continuing the story of The Legend of the Lost Pearl.

With these additions, Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi now offers more than 70 rides, slides, and attractions, with its collection of 55 waterslides becoming the highlight of the visitor experience and earning the Guinness World Records title.

Management Celebrates the Achievement

Speaking after receiving the award, Rayan Al Haddar, General Manager of Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, said the recognition marks another important milestone for the attraction.

He said the addition of new attractions, including the UAE's tallest waterslide, reflects the park's continued focus on delivering innovative and world-class experiences for guests. He added that the collection of 55 waterslides strengthens Yas Waterworld's position as a leading global waterpark, offering memorable experiences for families, friends, and thrill-seekers.

New Attractions Add More Excitement

Among the newest attractions is Matamir's Drop, recognised as the UAE's tallest waterslide. Visitors can also enjoy high-speed racing slides and interactive water adventures designed for guests of different age groups.

The latest attractions combine modern water entertainment with the park's Emirati-inspired storytelling, creating a unique experience while expanding the Lost City theme.

A New Milestone for Yas Island

The latest Guinness World Records title marks another significant achievement for Yas Waterworld and adds to the attractions available on Yas Island. By setting a new international benchmark with 55 waterslides, the waterpark continues to strengthen its reputation as a destination for world-class aquatic entertainment.
