Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, the Crown Prince of Fujairah, the 2025 Fujairah Equestrian Championships will commence on November 21. This year's opening event will be the celebrated Fujairah International Jumping Championship, hosted at the historic Fujairah Fort arena. Known as one of the most prestigious equestrian events regionally and globally, it attracts exceptional talent and high participation levels.
Set to take place from November 12 to 23, this championship will feature around 200 competitors from the UAE, Gulf nations, and beyond, representing 27 countries including prominent equestrian powers like France, Germany, the USA, the UK, and Saudi Arabia. This diverse participation showcases Fujairah's rising prominence in international equestrian sports.
All events will adhere to the standards set by the International Equestrian Federation (FEI). The meticulously crafted jumping courses are designed to challenge riders while showcasing their skills, speed, and precision as they navigate through obstacles. This ensures a top-tier event that meets global expectations and provides participants the chance to compete on an elite stage.
During a press conference at the Fujairah Fort arena, the Higher Organising Committee announced that all preparations for the championship are finalized. They emphasized that this event heralds the annual Fujairah Equestrian Championships, which continue to grow in stature and global participation. Organizers are committed to delivering a professionally managed event that mirrors the emirate’s deep-rooted equestrian traditions.
In a speech at the conference, Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee, stressed the significant role played by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi's support. He noted the championship as a reflection of the Crown Prince’s vision for advancing equestrian sports and enhancing Fujairah’s position within the global equestrian landscape. Dr. Al Zeyoudi expressed that participants will have the opportunity to showcase both Arabian and international horse breeds, highlighting the cultural importance of horses in Emirati heritage where equestrianism symbolizes strength and tradition.
Dr. Al Zeyoudi recognized the contributions of the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, sponsors, and media partners in fostering the event's success, enhancing participation, and promoting it on both national and international platforms.
Ali Musbah Al Kaabi, Vice Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee, commended the ongoing success of the Fujairah International Jumping Championship. He noted that it has become a favored venue for riders across the Arab world and beyond, reinforcing Fujairah’s status as a significant equestrian hub both regionally and globally. The annual championship signifies the emirate’s commitment to hosting elite sporting events that promote excellence and attract top-tier talent.
At the conclusion of the press conference, the Higher Organising Committee reiterated their dedication to creating a safe, organized, and conducive environment for participants, aiming to help riders reach their peak performance while maintaining the values and traditions associated with equestrian sports in Fujairah. They also underscored the significance of preserving the cultural heritage linked to horses in the UAE, a vital component of national identity.
