Abhishek Bajaj Speaks on Controversial Remarks About Kunickaa Sadanand

Post by : Meena Hassan

TV star Abhishek Bajaj, known for his role on Bigg Boss 19, has addressed the uproar over his comments directed at co-contestant Kunickaa Sadanand. After his exit from the show, he reflected on his frequent disputes with Kunickaa, particularly regarding kitchen responsibilities. He responded to allegations of having aged-shamed her by labeling her a “grandmother.”

During a revealing dialogue, Abhishek dismissed any claims of disrespecting Kunickaa or demeaning her age. He clarified that despite their disagreements, he consistently treated her with respect, stating, “She crossed the line regarding my mother’s comments and often employed age and gender tactics. My upbringing taught me to honor my elders, and I aimed to do just that.”

His eviction followed a twist in the competition when Pranit More, back in the game, saved Ashnoor Kaur, leading to the elimination of both Abhishek and Neelam Giri.

Abhishek expressed his views on the word “grandmother,” stating he doesn’t consider it an insult. He voiced concerns over some of Kunickaa's inappropriate remarks about him and Ashnoor. To him, Kunickaa is “playing the dirtiest game,” while other contestants like Farrhana Bhatt are more direct in their approach.

The situation intensified when Abhishek was seen singing “Dadi Amma Dadi Amma Maan Jao” during a tense exchange with Kunickaa. Host Salman Khan recognized this during the Weekend Ka Vaar segment, emphasizing that mocking the elderly is unacceptable.

Currently, Bigg Boss 19 is entering its 11th week, with the competition escalating as preparations for the finale, anticipated in about a month, continue. Contestants still in the race include Gaurav Khanna, Amaal Malik, Pranit More, Shehbaaz Badesha, Farrhana Bhatt, Tanya Mittal, Ashnoor Kaur, Mridul Tiwari, Malti Chahar, and Kunickaa Sadanand.
