The Abu Dhabi Marathon Village 2025, organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and supported by ADNOC, has welcomed thousands of visitors since it opened on 8th December at Zayed Sports City. The village acts as the main meeting point for runners and the community before the seventh Abu Dhabi Marathon on 13th December. It offers a wide mix of sports activities, entertainment and spaces for families, creating a lively atmosphere for everyone taking part. Visitors can also collect their race kits in a festive environment designed to build excitement for the big day.
The village opens daily from 15:00 to 22:00, giving people plenty of time to enjoy the attractions. On race day, the venue will open early, from 05:00 to 13:00, so runners and supporters can make the most of the activities. The venue features fitness classes, yoga sessions and workout programmes suitable for all levels. There are also dedicated play areas for children, offering games and interactive experiences, along with live music and artistic shows that add to the celebration.
A number of sponsor and partner pavilions showcase the latest sports, health and fitness products. Registered runners can collect their official Nike race shirts and view the special medals designed with the marathon course map. Talal Al Hashemi, Executive Director of the Events Sector at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said the village is an important part of the marathon experience. He explained that it brings together runners, families and visitors in one integrated space, highlighting the event’s global status and its focus on health and community engagement.
On 11th December at 16:00, the village will host a press conference featuring top international athletes. This event will give the media a chance to learn more about the runners’ preparation and expectations ahead of the marathon. The village also plays a major role in promoting an active lifestyle and encouraging more people to participate in sports. It provides a welcoming environment where both runners and visitors can enjoy the excitement leading up to the marathon. Through its many offerings, the village supports the community and strengthens the spirit of the event.
