Abu Dhabi will host the ResponsibleSteel Forum from 16 to 18 March 2027, marking the first time the global event will take place in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. EMSTEEL Group, one of the region's largest publicly listed steel and building materials manufacturers, will serve as the Lead Sponsor of the three-day forum.
The event is expected to bring together senior leaders from across the global steel value chain, including policymakers, investors, technology providers, steel producers, customers, and representatives from both the public and private sectors.
The ResponsibleSteel Forum is designed to encourage discussions on industrial transformation, climate action, and the future of industries that are difficult to decarbonise. It will also highlight Abu Dhabi's growing role as an international venue for important industry discussions.

He said the event demonstrates Abu Dhabi's expanding position as an international centre for industrial transformation and climate-focused discussions. He added that as decarbonisation continues to influence business operations, investment decisions, and future competitiveness, the forum will provide an important platform for global stakeholders to work together on practical solutions that support a stronger and more sustainable steel industry.
Annie Heaton, CEO of ResponsibleSteel, said the changing global environment has increased the importance of clean energy infrastructure and highlighted the growing contribution of sunbelt economies in supporting lower-emission iron and steel production.
She said the ResponsibleSteel Forum 2027 will bring together leaders from across the industry for timely discussions on the future of responsible steel production. By hosting the event in the UAE, ResponsibleSteel aims to turn shared goals into coordinated action and help accelerate progress towards a more responsible, lower-emission steel sector.
