Addleshaw Goddard Kicks Off First Saudi Golf Day

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – International law firm Addleshaw Goddard (AG) proudly hosted its first-ever Golf Day at the Dirab Golf & Country Club, marking a milestone as the inaugural golf tournament led by a law firm in Saudi Arabia. The event gathered clients, partners, and associates for an enriching experience of golf and networking, underscoring AG’s expanding presence in the Kingdom.

This exciting event coincided with the firm nearing the two-year mark of its Riyadh office, which opened in January 2024 following the acquisition of its Foreign Law Firm Licence from the Saudi Ministry of Justice. Since its inception, the Riyadh office has seen substantial growth, closely aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, making it one of AG’s most rapidly expanding locations worldwide.

AG’s team in Riyadh offers extensive legal assistance to top-tier clients from both Saudi Arabia and internationally, covering areas such as corporate, M&A, capital markets, banking and finance, projects, infrastructure, energy, and regulatory compliance. Responding to increasing client needs and expanding resources, AG is committed to investing in its talent and reinforcing its long-term relationship with the Kingdom.

The Golf Day saw participation from esteemed organizations including American Express, Arab National Bank, Diriyah, Expo Riyadh Company, Golf Saudi, Gulf International Bank, KPMG, Lucid, the Ministry of Finance, Public Investment Fund (PIF), Qiddiya, Red Sea Global, Roshn Group, Saudi National Bank, and STC, showcasing the firm’s vast network of clients and partners.

Robin Hickman, Head of Middle East at Addleshaw Goddard, stated:
"Our Golf Day celebrates the valuable relationships that have defined our path in Saudi Arabia and marks the thrilling prospects ahead. Client demand and the evolving landscape in the Kingdom continue to fuel our momentum since inaugurating our Riyadh office. Our priority remains on nurturing our workforce, enhancing capabilities, and backing clients in their contributions to Vision 2030.”

Homam Khoshaim, Co-Head of Riyadh Office, remarked:
"Saudi Arabia is one of our fastest-growing markets, and the Riyadh office has witnessed tremendous growth since it opened. Our Golf Day provided an opportunity to connect with clients and partners who are pivotal to our progress, reflecting our commitment to the Kingdom’s transformation.”

Jad Slim, Partner at Addleshaw Goddard Riyadh, noted:
"Our inaugural Golf Day illustrates our commitment to cultivating lasting connections with clients and partners. Engaging outside the boardroom has strengthened relationships that will facilitate our ongoing success in the region.”
