Actress Aditi Rao Hydari has taken to social media to inform her followers about a case of impersonation on WhatsApp. On November 16, she posted a message on Instagram, alerting the public that an individual was masquerading as her on the messaging app. The impersonator allegedly utilized her images to communicate with photographers, claiming to arrange "photoshoots."
In her message, Aditi stated, “This is not me. I never reach out personally like this, and I don't use any private number for work purposes. All my communications happen through my team.” She provided the WhatsApp number of the impersonator, urging her fans to be cautious. Aditi added, “Please be aware and avoid interacting with that number. If you notice anything suspicious, just inform my team. Thanks to everyone for being so supportive and protective.”
Responses poured in from fans and fellow stars alike, with comedian Kusha Kapila humorously observing that the impersonator failed to capture Aditi’s unique flair or accurately use her Instagram profile picture.
Despite this unsettling incident, Aditi recently enjoyed a serene weekend engaged in animal welfare activities. Last month, she posted pictures on Instagram of herself playing with rescued dogs, commending the efforts of various organizations and individuals who care for stray and abandoned animals. She remarked, “Sundays are for cuddles and squishes. Congratulations to the incredible people who rescue and care for these furry lives. A strong reminder to those who abandon and mistreat them.”
Aditi acknowledged organizations such as The Pet Café Hyderabad and Devens Hope Society in her posts, expressing her gratitude towards the staff and the dogs she cherished time with, fondly calling them Malli Poo and Mumsie Pie.
On the professional front, Aditi Rao Hydari was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, further enhancing her portfolio of critically acclaimed roles.
As cases of social media impersonation rise, Aditi's warning serves as a vital reminder for fans to verify any contacts claiming celebrity representation and to promptly report any dubious activities.
