Aishwarya Rai Commemorates Her Father with a Touching Tribute

Aishwarya Rai Commemorates Her Father with a Touching Tribute

Post by : Meena Hassan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan paid a poignant homage to her late father, Krishnaraj Rai, on his birthday, sharing an emotional portrayal of their enduring bond. Through social media, she uploaded a collection of cherished “then and now” images that highlighted the relationship between Krishnaraj and his granddaughter, Aaradhya Bachchan—one that remains significant to Aishwarya.

The first photo depicted a tender moment from years past, capturing young Aaradhya planting a kiss on her grandfather’s cheek, while Aishwarya smiled affectionately nearby. The following image presented a contemporary scene of the mother and daughter clad in white, engaged in prayer beside Krishnaraj’s portrait. This quiet tribute serves as a reminder of his lasting impact on their lives, even after his departure.

Aishwarya complemented these images with a heartfelt message: “Happy Birthday dearest Daddy-Ajjaaa. Our Guardian Angel, love you eternally. Thanking you for ALL your infinite love and blessings as our Aaradhya turned 14.” Her note underlined the day's dual significance—honouring her father's memory while also celebrating her daughter's milestones.

Krishnaraj Rai left this world in 2017 in Mumbai after a prolonged illness. Aishwarya and he shared a particularly close relationship, and since his passing, she has made it a point to remember him each year on his birth and death anniversaries. This involves sharing personal moments, prayers, and reflections, keeping the tradition rich in gratitude and remembrance.

On the professional front, Aishwarya was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s 2023 film Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2. The movie, featuring notable actors like Vikram, Karthi, and Trisha, proved to be a box office hit, grossing over ₹344 crore globally. Her performance in this film earned her critical acclaim, securing the Best Actress in a Leading Role (Critics) award at SIIMA. Abhishek Bachchan, her husband, praised her portrayal as her best work yet.

Through her emotional tribute, Aishwarya has once more reinforced the profound connection she shares with her father and the ways in which she cherishes his memory, not just for herself, but for her family and Aaradhya, too.
