Akhanda 2's Release Pushed to December 12

Akhanda 2's Release Pushed to December 12

Post by : Meena Hassan

Akhanda 2, featuring the charismatic Nandamuri Balakrishna, has a new official launch date. Initially slated for a December 5 release, the film faced an unexpected postponement, leaving fans eagerly waiting. The movie will now premiere on December 12, with a special screening on December 11.

A newly released poster stated, “Get ready for the Divine Destruction at cinemas. Experience the MASSive energy of #Akhanda2 in theaters starting December 12. Advance bookings will open soon!”

The surprise delay last week caught many off-guard, as pre-screenings were originally intended for December 4. The production team extended their apologies, explaining that unforeseen circumstances led to the postponement. While an official explanation wasn’t provided, insiders suggest that unresolved legal issues may have played a role. Eros International Media Limited had raised a court matter regarding a pending ₹28 crore arbitration payment owed by the film’s distributor, with approval for release granted only recently.

Akhanda 2: Thaandavam acts as the sequel to the successful 2021 film Akhanda, helmed by director Boyapati Srinu. Alongside Balakrishna, the film also stars Samyuktha, Aadhi Pinishetty, and Harshaali Malhotra. Fans are already buzzing over the soundtrack, crafted by Thaman S.

With the new date set, excitement is building for what is anticipated to be a thrilling spectacle at the box office, as fans look forward to this high-octane sequel.
