Inaugural Hunting & Equestrian Expo Draws Elite Attendance in Al Ain

Post by : Bianca Haleem

Al Ain recently celebrated its rich heritage and sporting culture with the launch of the Al Ain International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (AAIHEX) at the ADNEC Centre, open until 30 November. Esteemed guests, including His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, took the opportunity to explore a variety of exhibits.

Covering 24,000 square metres and hosting 873 exhibitors from 12 nations, AAIHEX showcased a wealth of offerings in hunting gear, falconry, equestrian sports, and camping, alongside a focus on global innovations. The event also emphasized local craftsmanship and heritage, underscoring the UAE's dedication to preserving its cultural identity.

During the tour, the Sheikhs interacted with both local and international exhibitors, discovering advancements in traditional sports technologies. With Emirati firms comprising 88% of the participants, the exhibition served as a vital platform for local brands to enhance their visibility on both regional and international stages.

The expo included 11 major sectors, highlighting veterinary products, outdoor and 4x4 equipment, and conservation initiatives. Attendees enjoyed over 20 live events, including culinary challenges, Arabic coffee workshops, Emirati hospitality displays, and folk performances like Al-Yowla and Al-Tabbah, providing rich cultural engagement.

AAIHEX, with its perfect fusion of tradition and innovation, has rapidly become a hallmark event in Al Ain, coinciding with the city's designation as the Gulf Capital of Tourism 2025. The exhibition not only honors national heritage but also creates an essential networking platform for enthusiasts and industry professionals in traditional sports and lifestyle.
