Omani international racer Al Faisal Khalid Al Zubair achieved a remarkable result by finishing in second place at the Gulf 12 Hours endurance race. The race was held at the famous Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This event brought together many professional racing teams from the Gulf region and beyond. Al Faisal’s strong performance highlighted his skills and consistency on the track, earning him a top spot in the overall standings.
Al Faisal competed as part of a team with his British teammates, Chris Froggatt and Ben Tuck. The trio drove the Ferrari 296 GT3, which made its debut for the Omani Al Manar Racing team in this competition. The team worked in collaboration with Dragon Racing to manage the car and strategy. Their teamwork, combined with precise driving and careful planning, helped them secure the second position against strong international competitors.
This success marks an important milestone for Al Manar Racing, as it was the first time the team participated in the Gulf 12 Hours race. The team showcased not only their racing skills but also Oman’s growing presence in international motorsports. Looking ahead, the Al Manar Racing team is preparing for their next challenge at the Michelin Dubai 24 Hours endurance race. This race will take place from 16-18 January 2026. The team aims to maintain their high standards and continue competing at the international level. They hope to gain more experience, improve their performance, and aim for another top finish in Dubai.
