Al Shamal Secure 3-0 Victory as QSL Cup Sixth Round Moves On

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

Al Shamal delivered one of their strongest performances of the season by defeating Al Arabi 3-0 at Al Khor Stadium. The match took place during the sixth round of the QSL Cup. With fast attacks, good teamwork and confident finishing, Al Shamal controlled the game from start to finish. Their win helped them gain important points that improved their position in the tournament standings.

Moroccan star Younes Belhanda was the hero for Al Shamal. He scored two goals that gave his team a comfortable lead early in the match. Belhanda showed great skill, calm finishing and strong decision-making inside the box. His performance lifted the entire team and put Al Arabi under pressure throughout the game. The third goal came from Algerian player Abdel Samad Bounacer, who struck powerfully to seal the win.

With this victory, Al Shamal increased their points total to 11. They moved up to fourth place in the QSL Cup standings. The team has shown steady improvement across the competition, collecting points with strong performances in recent matches. Their latest win puts them closer to the top teams and strengthens their hopes for a good finish in the group.

For Al Arabi, the 3-0 loss was a major setback, but they still remain in second place with 13 points. The team struggled to match Al Shamal’s speed and intensity during the game. Missed chances and defensive mistakes added to their problems. Even though they still hold a high position in the table, the defeat highlights areas that need improvement before the next round of matches.

In another match of the sixth round, Al Shahania defeated Qatar SC 1-0 at Al Shamal Stadium. The only goal of the match was scored by Youssef Al Raisi, who used a quick move inside the box to send the ball into the net. The game was tight, with both teams creating chances, but Al Shahania proved more efficient in front of goal and earned a valuable win.

The win helped Al Shahania climb to 13 points, placing them in third place. They are equal on points with Al Arabi but remain behind them on goal difference. The team has shown strong defensive discipline and improved attacking play in recent matches. Qatar SC, however, continue to struggle this season and remain in 15th place with only four points.

In one of the most exciting games of the round, Al Rayyan defeated Al Sailiya 4-1 at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium. Brazilian forward Roger Guedes was the standout player, scoring two goals and keeping constant pressure on the Al Sailiya defense. Abdulaziz Hatem and Brazilian Gregory da Silva added the other two goals to complete the convincing victory.

With their latest win, Al Rayyan have now collected 16 points, keeping a firm hold on the top spot in the standings. Their attack has been one of the strongest in the competition. Al Sailiya scored a consolation goal through Anwar Ghazi but remain in eighth place with 9 points. Their struggle to defend against fast attacks continues to affect their progress.

In another closely fought match, Al Duhail secured a 1-0 victory against Al Gharafa. The winning goal came from Shanin Abdullah, who finished a well-built move. The game was balanced, with both sides trying to control possession, but Al Duhail made better use of their chances.

The victory helped Al Duhail rise to 7 points, placing them 13th in the standings. The team hopes this win will boost their confidence in future matches. Al Gharafa’s struggles continued as they remained at the bottom of the table with only one point. They will need major changes to improve their performance in upcoming rounds.
