Armaan Malik Delays Delhi Concert Following Tragic Blast

Post by : Meena Hassan

Singer Armaan Malik has decided to delay his much-awaited concert in Delhi, originally set for November 15, due to the devastating explosion near the Red Fort on November 10. This tragic event, which involved a car blast, resulted in at least 12 fatalities and numerous injuries, leading event organisers across the NCR area to review their safety protocols.

Armaan shared the news on Instagram, voicing his sorrow and concern for his fans. “Delhi, I am sorry to announce that my concert on November 15th has been postponed because of recent events. Further updates will come shortly,” he wrote, paying tribute to the victims and emphasizing the importance of public safety.

In conjunction with his announcement, Armaan released an official notice confirming that the Aiiidon Malik Live in Delhi performance at Nexus Select Citywalk would not occur as planned. The notice highlighted that this decision prioritized the safety of fans, staff, artists, and the crew. It also reassured ticket holders that their bookings through BookMyShow would remain valid for the rescheduled date, which will be communicated soon.

The organisers stressed that this precaution was necessary given the severity of the incident and to honor the victims and their families. They also encouraged everyone to remain vigilant and adhere to safety measures while authorities further investigate the blast.

Actor Piyush Mishra similarly cancelled his Gurugram show, which was also set for November 15, in light of the tragedy. In a heartfelt message on Instagram, he expressed that the performance would be paused until conditions improve. “Our Gurugram show on November 15 is off for now, following the unfortunate incident in Delhi. We stand united with the city at this difficult time and will announce a new date as soon as it is safe to do so,” he concluded his statement with the uplift of “Inklaab Zindabad, Jai Hind.”

Authorities reported that the Red Fort explosion on November 10 was a targeted act of terrorism, with a vehicle detonating close to one of the busiest areas in the city. The event was catastrophic, resulting in casualties and igniting widespread concern. Ongoing investigations are in progress, and security forces remain alert in significant public areas, markets, and venues.

In response to the blast, numerous public events throughout Delhi-NCR have been postponed or cancelled. Organisers are collaborating closely with local authorities to ensure safety measures are met and to evaluate the feasibility of forthcoming events.

For Armaan Malik’s fans, the concert delay is disappointing, yet many have expressed their understanding given the unique circumstances. The singer’s message has been well-received, with supporters acknowledging the focus on safety and solidarity.

Both Armaan Malik and Piyush Mishra are expected to provide new dates for their performances as soon as security agencies clarify the situation. For now, the entertainment industry stands in solidarity with the people of Delhi as they mourn and deal with the repercussions of the tragic attack.
