Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), known as “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East,” is preparing to host the Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain. This race is the eighth and final round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and will take place on November 7 and 8 in Sakhir. Motorsport fans can expect two days of high-speed action and thrilling competitions.
Exciting Events Beyond the Main Race
Alongside the main championship race, BIC will host multiple support races and entertainment activities. Fans will enjoy a full schedule of events, ensuring excitement both on and off the track. The entertainment area behind the main grandstand will feature world-class stunt teams delivering impressive performances for visitors.
Spectacular Shows for Visitors
Spectators can look forward to a variety of shows, including motorcycle stunts, freestyle motocross displays, and stunt driving by renowned drivers Terry Grant and Lee Bowers. Monster truck performances with passenger rides will also be available. These shows will run throughout both days of the event, offering family-friendly entertainment for all attendees.
Significance of the 2025 Race
The 2025 Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain marks the 14th edition of the WEC in Bahrain and the seventh year the race is held in its current eight-hour format. It remains the only race of this duration on the WEC calendar, making it a unique and highly anticipated event in the motorsport world.
Supporting Other Racing Events
In addition to the WEC race, the weekend will feature the opening round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East. This addition adds even more competitive excitement for fans and highlights BIC as a hub for international motorsport in the region.
Green Ticket Initiative Returns
For the fourth year, BIC’s Green Ticket Initiative, in partnership with Bapco Energies, will continue. A portion of the revenue from each ticket sold will support Bahrain’s mangrove initiative, promoting sustainability and environmental awareness alongside world-class motorsport action.
