In an impressive display of skill and teamwork, UAE's Berengriff United claimed their place in the semifinals of the Asian Minifootball Clubs Championship, currently taking place in Jakarta, Indonesia. The team achieved a decisive 4–1 win over Jakarta Rangers in today’s quarterfinal, turning the game around after a shaky start. This victory highlights their resilience and strong character.

The match commenced with the Jakarta Rangers taking an early lead, putting the pressure on the Emirates squad. Nevertheless, Berengriff United maintained their composure, igniting the comeback with a goal from Ibrahim Adam that leveled the score and uplifted the team’s spirits. They pressed ahead with vigor, displaying exceptional teamwork and a fighting mentality.

Mehdi Omri contributed the next goal, giving Berengriff United their first lead. This pivotal moment enhanced the team’s momentum, and shortly after, Basem Al-Najjar netted a third goal, solidifying their dominant position. Mohammed Ismail capped off the scoring, confirming their progression into the semifinal round.

Throughout the match, the team exhibited outstanding teamwork, effective passing, and composed decision-making. Their ability to remain calm after conceding the initial goal was crucial to their success. This impressive performance reflects their thorough preparation and unwavering motivation to reach the championship final.

Looking ahead, Berengriff United will face Iran's Setarijan Simakan in the semifinals tomorrow, a match expected to be fiercely contested given both teams' strong performances to date. The other semifinal pairing will see Lebanon’s Al-Ata’a take on Indonesia’s Barber United in what promises to be an exciting showdown.

Meanwhile, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority team is gearing up to play Japan's “IPG” for the 9th–10th position, aiming for a strong finish in the championship.

As noted by Sarmad Al-Zadjali, Executive Director of the Minifootball Committee, Berengriff United's success marks a significant milestone for UAE in the sport. He emphasized that reaching the semifinals in their debut is indicative of the team's determination and growth, further fostering the development of minifootball in the UAE leading to the first Arab Championship in 2026. This accomplishment is set to inspire more players, officials, and clubs to engage with the sport.

Berengriff United’s performance thus far has illuminated the rising prospects of UAE teams in both regional and international arenas.
