Salman Khan Welcomes Cricket Legends on Bigg Boss 19

Post by : Meena Hassan

In a memorable Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19, Salman Khan invited former Indian women’s cricket icons Jhulan Goswami and Anjum Chopra. This special visit marked a celebration of India’s inaugural ICC Women’s World Cup victory.

Honoring the Women's Cricket Champions

Through an Instagram video, Salman Khan extended a warm welcome to the cricket legends, discussing how Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur assured Jhulan Goswami of their World Cup ambitions. Jhulan expressed, “When they brought me the trophy, it was the pinnacle of my cricket journey.”

Regarding the significance of this triumph, Anjum Chopra noted, “It will inspire young girls to aspire to greatness like Jhulan, Smriti, or Harman. This success will motivate future generations.”

Commemoration and Social Media Highlights

Jhulan Goswami took to X to share snapshots from her Bigg Boss 19 appearance, posing with Salman Khan and Anjum Chopra. She commented, “This month has been filled with remarkable moments, and this was truly one of them. I had an amazing time on stage with Salman Khan and Anjum Chopra.”

Historic ICC Women’s World Cup Victory

On November 2, under the captaincy of Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian women’s cricket team clinched victory over South Africa by 52 runs. To honor their legacy, the team presented the trophy to cricket legends Jhulan Goswami, Anjum Chopra, and Mithali Raj.

This World Cup victory has reignited discussions about releasing Jhulan Goswami’s biopic, Chakda Xpress, featuring Anushka Sharma, which had been postponed due to issues between the production team and Netflix.
