Montreal turned the tide in the final two periods, launching a fierce offensive onslaught. After leveling the score early in the second period, the Canadiens exploded in the third with four goals in a mere five minutes, overwhelming Boston’s defense.

Crucial penalties proved detrimental for the Bruins, as Montreal scored twice during 5-on-3 power plays to take a commanding lead. By the end of the night, the Canadiens emerged with a decisive 6-2 triumph.

This defeat capped off a frustrating homestand for Boston, who failed to secure a victory in their final four games after previously winning five out of six.
