Australian tennis player Alex de Minaur experienced a tough loss to Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti at the ATP Finals in Turin on Tuesday. Despite leading the final set 5-3, de Minaur was unable to secure the victory, ultimately falling 7-5, 3-6, 7-5 in a riveting round-robin match.

De Minaur admitted these trends are beginning to weigh on him emotionally. “If I can’t resolve this, it’s going to consume me,” he stated. “I need to tackle this sooner rather than later. I can’t endure many more losses like this.
After suffering his second defeat at the ATP Finals following an earlier loss to Carlos Alcaraz, de Minaur stressed the importance of addressing his mental and strategic hurdles.
“It's time to consult with my team and find solutions, as these issues can’t persist if I’m serious about advancing in my career. I really can’t afford to lose matches like these,” he asserted.
His upcoming round-robin match against Taylor Fritz, last year's ATP Finals runner-up, will be crucial for de Minaur's chances of progression and a test of his mental resilience post-defeat.
Despite the setback, analysts and fans recognize de Minaur’s intrinsic fighting spirit. Known as the “Demon” for his relentless energy and speed, he has earned a reputation as one of the most hardworking athletes in the sport.
