Ranveer Singh's electrifying action thriller Dhurandhar has taken the box office by storm, crossing the Rs 150 crore threshold within merely five days post-release. The film garnered Rs 26.50 crore on Tuesday itself, bringing its cumulative total to Rs 152.75 crore, solidifying its blockbuster reputation.
Having debuted to a tremendous response, Dhurandhar showcased Ranveer Singh’s magnetism alongside its broad appeal. It kicked off its run on Friday with an impressive Rs 28 crore, surpassing initial forecasts. This was followed by a stronger Saturday, where it earned Rs 32 crore, and a staggering Sunday performance that added Rs 43 crore, totaling Rs 103 crore over the first weekend.
Notably, Dhurandhar maintained its remarkable momentum into the weekdays. Monday saw revenues of Rs 23.25 crore, while an unexpected increase on Tuesday contributed another Rs 26.50 crore to the overall earnings, indicative of strong word-of-mouth endorsements. Analysts noted that in multiple centers, Monday's earnings actually surpassed those of Friday – a clear sign that the film resonates with its audience.
Trade analysts and industry insiders have commended the film’s robust performance across various demographics, recognizing its nationwide appeal. The successful blend of gripping storytelling, thrilling action, and Ranveer Singh’s vibrant performance have been pointed out as essential ingredients for the film's success.
Taran Adarsh, a prominent film trade analyst, noted that the exceptional box office performance of Dhurandhar suggests it is poised for an extended run in theatres. The film has resonated across diverse regions, with repeat viewings and strong recommendations fueling its continued box office ascent.
Under the direction of Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar includes a stellar cast featuring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. Its engaging screenplay, thrilling action scenes, and well-developed characters have positioned it as one of the fastest earners this year.
Fans are already looking ahead to the sequel, set to release on March 19, 2026, which promises to amplify the action, deepen the storyline, and further entrench Dhurandhar's legacy in the realm of Indian cinema.
