Dhurandhar Surges Toward ₹450 Crore Milestone in 12 Days

Post by : Meena Hassan

Dhurandhar is making waves at the box office, demonstrating a relentless pace that's captivating audiences everywhere. After breaking into the prestigious ₹400-crore club within a mere 12 days, the film is now rapidly approaching the ₹450-crore landmark, supported by robust audience attendance and ongoing demand.

On December 13, the film achieved an impressive daily collection of ₹25.50 crore, bringing its total earnings to ₹437.25 crore. Given the current momentum, industry analysts are optimistic that the next significant milestone is just around the corner.

Having premiered to a sensational response, Dhurandhar garnered ₹103 crore in its opening weekend itself. It kicked off with ₹28 crore on Friday, increased to ₹32 crore on Saturday, and reached a stunning ₹43 crore on Sunday, setting the stage for an extraordinary theatrical journey.

Unlike the usual midweek decline, the film maintained robust earnings throughout the week, raking in ₹23.25 crore on Monday followed by ₹27 crore on Tuesday. The figures for Wednesday and Thursday remained consistent at ₹27 crore each, contributing to a remarkable first-week total of ₹207.25 crore.

The second weekend elevated Dhurandhar further. Earnings climbed to ₹32.5 crore on Friday, jumped to ₹53 crore on Saturday, and surged to ₹58 crore on Sunday, showcasing its extraordinary appeal.

The remarkable box office performance continued through the weekdays, with ₹30.5 crore on Monday, ₹30 crore on Tuesday, and ₹25.50 crore on Wednesday, pushing the aggregate collection to ₹437.25 crore, solidifying its position among the highest-grossing Hindi films in history.

Notably, Dhurandhar reached a historic milestone as the first Hindi film to surpass ₹200 crore in its second week, achieving this in just five days—a remarkable feat accomplished during regular working days without price discounts, despite the film being rated A.

Industry insiders believe that this film has reshaped the standards for prolonged box office success and could pose serious competition to upcoming major releases in the near future.
