Dil Raju Confirms New Akshay Kumar Film, Not Salman Project

Post by : Mariam Al-Faris

Telugu film producer Dil Raju recently became the centre of attention after several media reports claimed he was planning a big pan-India movie with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. These reports quickly spread online, creating excitement among fans. Many believed that a huge collaboration was on the way. However, Dil Raju has now officially clarified that these rumours are not true.

In a clear statement, Dil Raju explained that he is not working on any new project with Salman Khan at the moment. Instead, his full focus is on a different film that stars Akshay Kumar. This upcoming film will be directed by well-known filmmaker Anees Bazmee, and the team is currently preparing for the project in the pre-production stage.

Dil Raju’s team also mentioned that several old reports and assumptions were being mixed with current news, causing confusion. They stated that none of these rumours were accurate and that official updates will be shared only when the time is right.

In their statement, the team said that many of the latest rumours were “baseless” and had “blown things out of proportion.” They also warned against linking old speculations to new developments, as this leads to misinformation.

The producer’s team further added that they are working responsibly and will share the film’s cast, plot details, and release date only after everything is finalised. They also made a polite request to media outlets to avoid spreading unconfirmed stories. The team said that it is important for news platforms to wait for proper confirmation before publishing anything.

Along with the rumours about the Salman Khan project, there has been another discussion going around. Some people speculated that the upcoming Akshay Kumar film might be a Hindi remake of the Telugu movie Sankranthiki Vasthunam, starring Venkatesh Daggubati. The film revolves around former IPS officer YD Raju, who leads the investigation of a major kidnapping case.

However, reports say that this information is also not confirmed. According to a Pinkvilla report, Akshay Kumar has watched the Venkatesh film earlier simply as a movie lover, but he is not planning to act in the Hindi remake. Instead, the report says Akshay has been meeting Anees Bazmee for another new collaboration, which fits with Dil Raju’s announcement.

Akshay Kumar already has several upcoming films on his schedule, including Haiwaan, Bhagam Bhaag 2, Welcome To The Jungle, Hera Pheri 3, and other unannounced projects. With such a packed lineup, fans are curious to know more about his project with Dil Raju.

For now, what is confirmed is that Dil Raju is focused only on his film with Akshay Kumar, directed by Anees Bazmee. The film is still in the early stages of planning, and more details will be revealed soon. The producer has made it clear that there is no truth to the rumours about a Salman Khan film at present.

This clarification has helped settle the confusion among fans and media. Everyone is now waiting to hear more about Dil Raju and Akshay Kumar’s upcoming collaboration, which is expected to be a major project once officially announced.
