Dining With the Kapoors: A Family Gathering Amidst Absentees

Dining With the Kapoors gathers Bollywood’s celebrated Kapoor family for a revealing dinner conversation in a new Netflix special. Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Armaan Jain, and Aadar Jain come together, providing an unfiltered glimpse into their intricate family dynamics, memories, and relationships.

Viewers quickly observed Alia Bhatt’s absence from the event. In response to the curiosity, show creator Armaan Jain explained that Alia was unable to participate due to existing work obligations. He noted that the Kapoor clan places immense importance on professional commitments, and it's common for members to miss such gatherings.

Director Smriti Mundhra added that arranging schedules for a large, career-focused family poses its own challenges, and the absence of certain members is always accepted.

The rich legacy of the Kapoor family—from Prithviraj to Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Shashi Kapoor, and now Kareena, Karisma, and Ranbir—imbues the special with significant cultural importance. The show is set to share nostalgic anecdotes, wit, and heartfelt exchanges, portraying the Kapoors not just as celebrities but as a genuine family.

Dining With the Kapoors premieres on Netflix on 21 November, providing an intimate perspective into one of India's most iconic film families.
