Divya Khosla Kumar Challenges Mukesh Bhatt Over Dispute Allegations

Divya Khosla Kumar Challenges Mukesh Bhatt Over Dispute Allegations

Post by : Meena Hassan

Filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt, known for producing the film Savi, recently hinted in an interview that Divya Khosla Kumar might have fabricated the Savi vs Jigra controversy for publicity. This assertion triggered widespread reactions on social media and within the industry, placing Divya in a challenging position.

In a dramatic twist, Divya released a phone call recording where she directly questioned Mukesh about his comments. In the call, Mukesh adamantly refuted the allegation, stating, “Neither did anyone ask me, nor did I tell anyone. This is created by people with their own hidden interests.” He observed that the release of negative reports coinciding with Divya’s birthday appeared intentional, possibly aimed at undermining her. Mukesh reassured her of his unwavering support and implied that the adverse reactions may be stemming from outside sources, encouraging Divya to concentrate on her upcoming projects.

Divya posted the recording on Instagram, expressing her shock and hurt over the situation. She highlighted the necessity of public truth-sharing, particularly for artists and fans who have encountered a culture of hierarchy and manipulation in the film industry. She further underlined that certain factions are attempting to jeopardize authentic talent and careers, behavior that should not be tolerated. Divya committed to continuing her fight against such injustices and advocating for greater transparency within the industry.

The controversy surrounding Savi and Jigra ignited in 2024 when Divya accused the creators of Jigra of imitating the storyline of her film Savi, notably the jailbreak concept. She also alleged that Jigra’s box-office figures were exaggerated, suggesting ticket purchases were artificially inflated to project higher earnings. Previously, Mukesh Bhatt had remarked that some industry scandals are stunts for publicity, although he praised Alia Bhatt for not resorting to such tactics.

This incident underscores the intricate challenges and politics of Bollywood, illustrating how disputes over ideas and public statements can escalate rapidly. Divya’s actions reflect a growing trend of artists advocating for transparency and accountability in the film sector, emphasizing the need to stand against unfair practices.
