Dubai Airshow has officially opened registration for its 19th edition, which will take place from 17th to 21st November 2025 at Dubai World Central. This major global event will focus on transforming the aviation industry by encouraging innovation, building global connections, and promoting new technologies. The aim is to bring together industry leaders, experts, and innovators to explore the future of aviation and defence.
The aviation sector plays a big role in the UAE’s economy. According to recent data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), aviation adds around $92 billion to the country’s GDP, which is 18.2 percent of the total. In addition, the commercial aircraft fleet in the Middle East is expected to grow at a rate of 5.1 percent per year over the next decade. This growth highlights the importance of events like the Dubai Airshow in supporting the region’s expanding aviation industry.
The 2025 edition of the Airshow will introduce several exciting new features. For the first time, a unique networking event will take place right on the runway at SkyDive Dubai. This gathering will bring together top global aviation professionals for an evening of entertainment and networking, including drone shows, skydiving performances, live DJ music, and luxury hospitality. Another new highlight is the introduction of night-time programming on the second day of the show, allowing visitors to enjoy aircraft displays, receptions, and drone shows until 9 PM.
Through programs like the NextGen Leaders program and VISTA, the hub specifically designed for aviation and space start-ups, Dubai Airshow 2025 will also keep fostering the growth of startups and future talent. Young people wishing to pursue a career in aviation will have access to training and mentorship through a new program called the Academy. This year, sustainability will also be a major subject, with an emphasis on environmentally friendly products and technologies.
The show will feature curated discussions and exclusive sessions to share insights across the sector. Senior executives will gather at the Aerospace Executive Club to talk about industry trends and future strategies. The event will also include a comprehensive delegation programme, hosted in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Defence, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and the Government of Dubai. An AI-powered matchmaking system through the official app will help attendees network more effectively.
Timothy Hawes, Managing Director at Informa Markets, said that this year’s Airshow will be the most future-focused to date, offering new opportunities for global industry players to connect, share ideas, and support the UAE’s growth in aviation and defence. A special effort is also being made to involve young people and inspire the next generation of leaders through educational programmes and hands-on experiences.
